Friends of Newport Lakes

Friends of Newport Lakes is a volunteer group that has been active since 1997 with a mission to be at the forefront of maintaining, protecting and promoting respect for the whole of Newport Lakes.

FoNL is continually undertaking projects to improve the user experience of Newport Lakes Reserve.

Friends of Newport Lakes acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples as the First
Australians. We respectfully acknowledge the traditional owners of the land on which we meet, for it
always was, and always will be the Bunurong People’s of the Kulin Nation. We pay respect to Elders past,
present and emerging. We also support the continuation of cultural, spiritual and educational practices of
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
