Newport Lakes Open Space Development & Conservation Plan

Help 'future proof' Newport Lakes Reserve. Hobsons Bay City Council invites you to comment on the Newport Lakes Reserve Conservation and Development Plan. Developed in association with the Friends of Newport Lakes, this plan outlines environmental values and challenges and provides a ten year plan to protect and enhance the Reserve.

We have provided specific feedback to the Council regarding the plan in the documents linked below. We encourage all of our members to review this document to better understand our position across Councils proposed plans and the individual implementation points.

A new Project: Let's keep cats out of the Park

This will involve a Poster competition  for local school children in 2020 and display of the posters. Note: this project has been extended into 2022 because of the school closures in 2020.
